Conjugated Linoleic Acid

Conjugated Linoleic Acid, more commonly known as CLA, has gained popularity as a fat burning supplement. The truth is, man-made CLA is an artificial isomer and can have negative effects upon your health. It is very similar to the artificial trans fats in hydrogenated oils, which are deadly. Of course, the supplement companies aren’t going to tell you this; they just want to make money at the expense of your health.
This is one more deception, by the supplement companies, and another reason why I don’t like supplements. You rarely get what you pay for when it comes to supplements.
CLA in its natural form is healthy. Good CLA is found in cattle, deer, buffalo and related animals. It is also found in raw milk and raw cheese. Here’s a very important fact; all these animals must be organic and grass fed, not grain fed or raised in an industrialized farm. The CLA is up to 5 times greater in organically raised animals, which are grass fed, compared to conventionally raised animals.
