Junk Food is USDA Approved in Schools

Are you aware, under the current USDA definition of “foods of minimal nutritional value”, junk food is allowed to be sold in schools?
That’s right! Foods such as high fructose corn syrup fruit juice, French fries, candy bars of any kind do not fall under the USDA guidelines.
It even gets worse! Seltzer water does fall under the heading of “foods of minimal nutritional value” and cannot be sold in schools.
