Have you read the latest report from The Environmental Working Group regarding Bottled water?
The team of researchers analyzed over 170 varieties of bottled water.
There were 3 standards in which the company’s bottled water had to meet:
1. Was there information on where the water came from?
2. How the water was treated?
3. Were the test results true to ensure the quality & purity of the product?
Here are the results:
Over 50% failed the quality test.
Fewer than 20% did not identify where the water came from.
32 percent did not disclose any information on the treatment of the water.
According to Yahoo Green:
"Only three brands earned the highest possible ... Gerber Pure Purified Water, Nestle Pure Life Purified Water, and Penta Ultra-Purified Water ...
[S]ix brands got the worst marks in EWG's report ... Whole Foods Italian Still Mineral Water, Vintage Natural Spring Water, Sahara Premium Drinking Water, O Water Sport Electrolyte Enhanced Purified Drinking Water, Market Basket Natural Spring Water, and Cumby's Spring Water."
Water is the #1 source for health and fitness. Don’t be taken in by fancy names, pretty bottles and marketing. You’re only throwing your money away and making these companies rich. A $19.95 charcoal filter on your faucet is by far better and cheaper than store bought bottled water!
