Do you know 47% of the meat you buy is loaded with bacteria?

A recent study in Clinical Infectious Diseases indicated nearly half of all supermarket meat is contaminated with bacteria.

Researchers bought 136 packages of beef, pork, chicken and turkey from 26 supermarkets in 5 cities.

Tests revealed that nearly 47% of all the meat was contaminated with Staphylococcus aureus. The study revealed that 52% were resistant to at least 3 different drugs. Nearly all the meat samples were resistant to 1 of those anti-biotics commonly used in the meat market to combat infected animals.

Generally, most bacteria are destroyed during cooking which is a good thing. Unfortunately, over the years new strains of bacteria have developed a super defense against the new drugs. To make matters worse, some of the new bacteria have a high tolerance to heat and from being frozen. Therefore, every time you take a bite of your delicious, juicy steak, you’re taking in a mouthful of harmful bacteria.
It is important to know the meat samples come from industrialize, factory farms and livestock and were fed conventional food.

These modern day livestock production farms are filthy, disgusting and morally corrupt places, known as cesspools. Unfortunately, the greater majority of these animal homes are quite repulsive. This type of farming is infested with numerous bacteria and viruses. To combat the diseases, the animals are fed numerous drugs. The bacteria are able to evolve very rapidly into super bugs and eventually end up in our food supply.

This is clearly a good reason to eat healthy organic and sustainably raised livestock.

If you want to build a strong immune system and optimize your health, strength and general fitness, it’s worth every extra penny to choose the right fitness foods.
